Unearthing a Family Story

$35.00

The first issue of the Tessaku magazine, detailing the events and major life upheaval of my father and grandparents as they were moved from their home in San Francisco to Topaz and Tule Lake. This issue shares the oral history of my father, Mitsuki Tsuchida; a detailed timeline with documents of my grandparents’ struggle for their dignity inside a prison; the transcription of my grandfather’s redress commission testimony; and the history of the original Tessaku, published inside Tule Lake.

This issue was updated to include new edits and renamed to Unearthing a Family’s Story to more accurately reflect the content.

Full color, 78 pages. Printed in Los Angeles with Indie Printing.
